This project is a collaboration between artist, architect, archivist, social worker, heritage specialist and environmental scientist. The project aims to make visible the previous use of the site by early Europeans as a windmill and focus on the possibilities for the development of sustainable energy. The windmill was once an important navigational marker for shipping and when it was demolished there was outcry from ships captains. The Obelisk was erected in 1850 as a stable point of reference for navigation. The project is an installation of approx. 80 three metre high windmill forms spilling down the slopes of Obelisk hill.
