Nesting is about rehabitation of underutilised urban areas. This is a sound installation hidden in oversized nests in the tree canopy. The invisible inhabitants (sound mix) have attributes the city may need. Vibrancy, cultural diversity and a healthy city environment. The installation consists of six oversized ‘nests’ with inbuilt speakers. Prior to installation a call for contributions will be placed for sounds relevant to surrounding suburbs. The large audio archive will create a sound map the city.
